INDEPENDENCE DAY!

Happy Fourth of July!

I am excited to go on vacation tomorrow. It will indepence from schoolwork! It hasn't felt like much of a summer off with teaching a class and taking one. It will be nice to get away and not worry about it.

We're having a pool party/picnic this afternoon. Then it's off to the river for the fireworks. That never gets old. Tim's sister went to put the tarp down so we should have a good spot for tonight. It's promising to be a BEAUTIFUL day!

We need to get everything packed up today so that we don't forget anything. Packing up the kids is always a lot of work. Bikes, fishing poles, life vests... do I need to say more? They are looking forward to a week at the lake. I'm glad they enjoy it up there. It makes it easier to leave them for sin city.

Temperature in Sin City - 104 degrees. We went shopping for Tim and I to get nicer clothing. We have tickets purchased for the "O" Cirque du Soleil show. That is my birthday gift from Tim and the kids. We're staying at the Bellagio so we got tickets in the third row. Should be great - she called them the wet seats because you can feel the mist from the stage. Love to be up close.
