We dropped a fortune at the fair last night. It is amazing how much rides, games and food cost. However, we had a great time and ate way too much. Fried Cheese Curds, Bloom'n Onion, Smoothies, Kettle Korn, Corn Dogs, Hamburgers, BIG Cookie, Beer....just to name what I remember. Love the fair!
The kids went on rides. I told them to go on the Gravitron - I remember loving that as a kid. The kids went by themselves the first time. For those of you not familiar with this great ride, you enter the ride, stand up against the wall, the ride spins you around until you are stuck to the wall. Then the floor goes - great ride. So the kids go in by themselves, the door shuts and we can't see in. We then started rethinking this idea - too late. But the kids Loved it! They went back on numerous times. They were little enough to climb the walls like Spiderman. They were having so much fun, the parents decided to join them. Tina and I took them once and couldn't stop laughing. It was really funny.
The only mistake we made was leaving at 9:00 pm. A half hour earlier would have avoided the meltdown from all the kids. Too much fun and food made them extremely tired. You'd think we'd see it coming after all these years.
Andy's allergies are still bothering him. His eye has been swelled almost shut for a couple of days. We'll lay low today and pour Benadryl down him again today. I'm hoping to get outside in the sun to rejuvenate my tan - it is slowing going away after being back to work.
