The kids had an Olympic contest at camp yesterday. They held the ceremonies for the parents last night.
Andy competed in the 100 meter dash, canoe race and water drinking contest. He receive the gold medal in the 100 meter dash. He told us that he came in third in the water drinking contest and then he proceeded to throw up five times after. He seemed fine by the time we got there so it must not have hurt him too bad. I think he should have gotten a medal for the amount of times he threw up.
Beth participated in the frisbee throw and the three-legged race. She got a gold medal in the frisbee throw. It was nice to see them both get an award. OK - I was astounded that they both got first place - who am I kidding?
After the ceremonies each cabin performed a skit. I'm thinking the Y camp should invest in some skit books - not good. We clapped and pretended to understand the humor. The kids were super excited so that made it funny.
It is the last day of camp. So that means I need to get off my lazy butt and get the house cleaned - no more excuses. I did scrub the floor this morning. I'll have to get in the bathroom next. Tim's working tonight, so I do have some time. I also need to get us packed up for the Dells. Summer is slowly coming to an end.
