My right-wing friends...

I enjoy debating politics. I watch both sides to form an opinion that I can live with. I don't send liberal web sites and quotes to my McCain supporting friends. So why do I get my right-winged, uninformed friend sending me emails comparing McCain to Obama with extreme falsehoods?

For example, One of the items was -

Will appoint judges who interpret the law not make it McCain - Yes Obama No

Now, any informed citizen of the United States of America should understand the executive, judicial and legislative branches of our government. Knowing this, we would know that all judges are appointed to interpret the law and our legislators are voted in to make the laws. So how can Obama appoint judges to make laws? That goes against our Constitution.

Supports gun ownership rights McCain - Yes Obama - No

Again - our constitution guarantees the right to bear arms. It is not the "rights" that Obama questions.

Another one - Proposed programs will mean a huge tax increase McCain No Obama Yes

Our programs - whether they are social or agency related are all paid for by taxes. All candidates will have to pay for these programs with taxes. Tax breaks for corporations are a large part of the Republican agenda. If we had less of these, we could lower the tax rate for the middle class.

Therefore, if you want to debate the issues or your viewpoints, I welcome the discussion. But please do not quote from Fox News, Wikipedia or Rush Limbaugh. At least do some fact checking of your own. It would make you look like less of an idiot.
