Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

We're bracing for the first snow fall today. UGH. The first one always hurts the most.

I am appalled at the Sarah Palin stories. I can't believe that the republicans tried to defend that "Wasilla Hillbilly". (McCain Camp's words, not mine) Not knowing Africa was a continent is just sad. Not knowing the countries in NAFTA is scary. Taking a prank phone call from a radio station for real is just naive. Having a concession speech ready and planning to deliver is pathetic. What is worse is the advisers who covered up her lack of world knowledge. Clearly she was out of her league. It is sad that she was face of women in politics after Hillary. However, she did know how to shop.

The results are in today for the SmartVote for the kids. Obama won that election also. Washington Elementary had the most voting students so our kids get an ice cream party. The results are below: (It looks like Bob Barr did better in our little election than he did in the real one)

Barack Obama -- 1,037 John McCain -- 551• Bob Barr -- 49 Ralph Nader -- 45

Should the Wisconsin Rapids School District start teaching foreign languages in earlier grades and provide more language choices?• Yes -- 1,199 No -- 419
