Andy did pretty well yesterday. His first race was the free stroke. He was competitive. I think he would have done a lot better, but his goggles fell off when he dove in. Another mother helped us fix his goggles for the next race. In his next race he did the backstroke. We think he was disqualified because of his turn. (See how new we are - we aren't sure where he placed and even if he DQ'd) I was worried that he was too slow in the back stroke. He was in there until the last part and then he got tired. I was very proud of him.
Andy was also supposed to compete in two relays. However one of the kids got sick. They found a replacement for one of the relays and that kid was sick just before the event. It was a long day, but we now know how these meets work. We'll be set for the next one.
