Andy swam the 50 Freestyle and the 50 Breaststroke yesterday. He was first in his heat for the freestyle, but ended up third overall. This was a big improvement. His time was 43:41 compared to 1:09:00 last time. He was very excited.
He also swam the Breaststroke for the first time. He did super- his coaches were impressed that he kept up with his other team member. We thought he ended up third, but when the results were posted, he was DQ. He did a one-hand touch instead of a two-hand touch. BUMMER. I bet he won't do that again.
Beth ate her way through the day. She seems to think that watching Andy equals a constant buffet of crap. We finally sent her for a couple of hours with Grandma and Grandpa - who then took her to McDonald's for lunch. She certainly knows how to play it right.
