What a great Valentine's Day gift! We signed the papers last night and sold the house. Barring any problems with financing, inspection or his ability to build an extra garage, we will close the end of March. The WONDERFUL part of this deal is that we are able to rent the house back from the buyer until the end of July. That would give us time to build the house and only have to move once. It is a deal too good to be true. Now we can focus on the new house.
What a relief. It is difficult keeping the house "show ready" and being kicked out all of the time. AND it has only been ten days. I can't image how it would be if it dragged out for months. We'll have to keep vigilant on maintaining the house now that it will not be officially ours. BUT. the kids can now have friends over like normal. We haven't been allowing them to have friends over because we had to be out of the house so much.
We went to the movie Hotel for Dogs yesterday. It was not so bad. To be honest, I thought it was going to be boring, but we had to be out of the house for a couple of hours. The movie did the trick and it wasn't so bad.
