We had Andy's Championship Game last night - it was a breezy 100 degrees. Uncle Bill joined the drippy fans in the stands. (That is a true fan!) They lost the game 6 -1. The Mets were just better in the heat. The kids were still excited - they got second place trophies and ice cream after the game. The other team had water balloons for their coaches. If we had to lose, it was a nice team to lose to - they were good winners.
____________________________________On another note, Beth started a diary. As any good mother would do, I read it while she was overnight at a friends. This entry was heartbreaking:
Dear Direy,
This summer I have to get glasses. I am sad. Everyone will see them on my face!
So when you see her at the end of the summer with her glasses, make sure you tell her how lovely they are.
