Piece and Quiet

I spent the day alone in the house - Heaven! I redid our computer chair so that it would match Andy's new bedroom. That only took two trips to Wal-Mart. I then made three decorative pillows for the kids bedrooms. That took most of my day.

We're having a slow night tonight. The kids came home with a ton of stuff from their desks. Just what we need - more stuff.

Tomorrow, Beth is participating in the variety show at school. I hope she does well - she said she is nervous. She is playing Puff the Magic Dragon on the piano.

It should be fun to see what all of the kids come up with. Andy has been wanting to be in the talent show for years - he just didn't have anything he could do. In first grade he wanted to sing Ozzy Osbourne - I told him that wasn't appropriate. Second grade he thought he could do a light saber demonstration. Last year he thought he would sing again. FINALLY he has something he could do - play the guitar. He decided he would be too scared and didn't sign up.
