Last Day of Vacation

It is 10:00 am and I have gotten more done today than I have all week.

I finally won the battle and got my software package installed on both computers. A small victory - but one none the less.  The second computer is my fault - I haven't used the laptop in awhile. We've been using the netbook or the PC.  The laptop needed a lot of updating.  So by 10:30 last night I finally got the software installed. I am now ready to start my class on Monday. We bought the laptop when I started my masters. Hopefully it'll see my through my doctorate degree.

Work tomorrow won't be too bad. We have a work day so that I can get my classes ready. Meetings start all next week - not looking forward to the blathering. (Blathering is putting it nicely)  We are going to discuss diversity. Now here is where it gets funny (sad really).  Work started a diversity newsletter where they featured a diverse staff member in each issue. We have had four issues. The first three had instructors from different countries.  The last issue came with a recipe for rum punch. We are already out of diverse people. I wonder what two WHOLE days of diversity discussions will look like.  I hope the punch is involved or it will be VERY painful.
