Report on the Report Cards

Both kids had all As this report card. OK - well Beth had all Es. (Don't ask - somehow changing an A to an E for Excellent somehow increases their self esteem.)  Beth also got a number of awards - one which was perfect attendance. She was one healthy girl this school year.  She also got math and art awards.  Andy is now included in the "gifted and talented" art program as well as academics. He was a little perplexed at that - but good for him. We celebrated with Dairy Queen Blizzards. YUMMY! Like'n the mocha chip mini blizzard - in case you need a recommendation.

We watched Kyle play a few innings yesterday. It was good to see him play and Andy thought it was cool that he was playing on the Rafter's field. He had a great hit!!

I just have a quick paper to write and then I'll be done with my class. That will make two under my belt. I was nervous about this and it feels good to know that I can do it. This time next year I will be half way - Hmmm - somehow that should sound better.

Tim and I have been digging our hole. I got on the scale and only lost two pounds. OK - that is two in the right direction. My clothes are fitting better, so maybe I am toning as well. However, I'm lunching with the ladies and drinking with the book club tonight. We'll see what the scale brings tomorrow.
