Day Off

Our weekend started with the kids having sleepovers. Andy spent Friday night with his friend. Beth had a friend sleep over. Andy called Saturday to make arrangements for us to pick him up. His friend's family took him to Rusty's Bar and Grill for lunch. Andy calls Tim from Rusty's and says "Dad, I'm at the bar..."  Somehow that sounds wrong coming from your almost teenager.

Our weekend didn't turn out as planned. The weather didn't cooperate. We had a cookout instead of going to the fair on Saturday. It did my diet good not to eat my way through the fair. The kids were bummed. They were already planning the fish they were going to win.  And they'll have to wait for another year to go on the Gravitron ride.  That is a big bummer. They did have a good time playing with their cousins though.

We had a wedding shower for one of Tim's cousins yesterday. She is getting married in  FL this November. The family realized that most people weren't going to be able to make the wedding so the shower was a quasi reception. It was nice to see his aunts and cousins.

Today Tim is working, Beth has a friend over and Andy is lounging. I had a couple papers to finish and laundry to get done. It's a good day off. This working gig is getting old...Only fifteen more weeks until Christmas Break!
