The Countdown is On....

FIVE and 1/2 WEEKS left until SUMMER! I can almost taste it!



I am fascinated by the third graders who plotted to harm their teacher. What I am fascinated about is their critical thinking skills. They planned, organized and were ready to execute. My students couldn't accomplish that feat. Too bad their energy wasn't channeled into good.

So, I turn to my third-grader to ask, "Have you ever thought about harming your teacher." Of course, his answer was no. (relief, I must say) At supper last night, my husband asked him the same thing. Needless to say, my third-grade thinks we are losing our minds.

My first grader is copping an attitude. We seem to struggle and fight every morning to get ready. Six going on sixteen. We don't even have hormones in the picture yet. I need to find some books on dealing with her better or this could be a long life.

On a happier note, my husband's birthday is this weekend. We're celebrating tonight because he is working all weekend. The kids love that!

Happy Spring....YES, we are going to be in the upper 40s with no snow on the horizon. We might even break 50 degrees tomorrow! The snow birds may be able to make it home yet.
