OK - I must say that I am impressed. I wrote my Senators last week about the auto bailout and Herb Kohl already responded. He is unfortunately for the bailout. However he writes:
" As a businessman, I questioned whether a government bureaucrat would do a better job than the automakers have done. However, the automakers were willing to submit to intrusive government oversight, surrender their executive perks, and give the American taxpayer a stake in any future profits, so I was willing to support a rescue plan and give the automakers an opportunity to succeed. "
He almost makes this too easy - He makes my points for me.
On another note, Beth had her "2nd Grade Restaurant" at school today. It was very cute. However, she cried when I left. She is either getting sick (UGH!) or she was upset because she was stuck in the back while I was there and couldn't come out front to see me. I guess we'll sort this out when we get home.
