Happy Birthday to Me!!

I love my birthday - it doesn't bother me a bit that I'm a year older. I think - I'm alive and blessed with a great life for one more year!

I appreciate the beautiful pictures of me on my sister's blog. My hair was LARGE! I'll have to show my kids when they get up - it'll be worth a lot of laughs. They still laugh about my "horn" in my college graduation picture. Just when you think you are beautiful, the kids will humble you. :-) My boobs were also perky in the one - nice to remember when the girls stood at attention on their own without a lot of lace and wire.

Tim bought me four different funny cards. I'm not sure why, but it was funny. My present was the show in Las Vegas.

We're not doing much today. Andy went to the Dells with his friend. We didn't have any plans so it was hard to say no. We'll probably go for lunch and swim. I don't feel like going anywhere because we were gone last week and going to be gone next week. Beth is excited to go to Applebee's for their Chocolate Mousse Shot. The girl is after my own heart. We had strawberry shortcake - Andy's idea - yesterday to celebrate. Tim brought in the blow torch as my candle. I'm not sure if that is just his male side or a metaphor for my age. The kids sang and just stared terrified at the torch on the table hoping it wouldn't tip over. Strange - but memories were made.

We tried to pull Beth's tooth last night. Talk about a lot of drama. She cried and screamed and went to bed with the tooth in her head. She is determined to keep it and Tim is determined to get it out. Tim is finding out that she is pretty strong. I'm sure the battle of the wills will continue today.
